Making Peace Within Yourself

Making Peace With Where You Are...

So often we are told “Make peace with where you are.”  What does that really mean?  For me to make peace with where I am doesn’t seem hard.  I am very comfortable with  who I have become and where I have come from and where I am today.  I practice Reiki and Meditation daily so that I am at Peace with where I am.

But now the hard part starts.  Make Peace with where you are also mean to make Peace with where everyone is.  Such as Making Peace with where family, friends even world events are.  It means that you are alright with where anybody is.  Much harder to do but oh SO VERY FREEING.
Give it a try.  Try meditating on it today!

Meditation ...

Meditation … “If we were standing in your physical shoes, we would meditate on a regular basis for the sweet relief of a quiet mind. There is no better way of stopping the momentum of something unwanted, and to allow the momentum of something wanted, than to meditate - other than getting a full night’s sleep.”  Quote from Esther (Jerry and Abraham)

Meditation is a powerful tool that we all should use.  It has calmed many an anxious moment for me.  Practicing Self-Reiki is a beautiful Meditation tool which is taught in Reiki First Degree

And of course meditation helps you have a full night's sleep.

Calm ... Share ... Love

At the beginning of January during a Reiki session I came across my 3 words for 2019 and have been reflecting on what they mean to me and how I could or will use them.

At the moment here is what I have come up with.

Calm:   With self Reiki I am able to calm my mind and settle my energy in my body.  Instead of feeling that this is something I need to do I appreciate the gift of Reiki and enjoy the process.

Share:  This weekend  I taught a Reiki First Degree which allowed me to share my love and knowledge of Reiki. My students were like sponges learning and absorbing all that I could share.

Love:  At the end of this week my family and I are moving home to a beautifully renovated home.  Thank goodness for family who have given us a place to live during the renovation.

Have you picked any words for 2019?

When you are comfortable on your path, it doesn't matter where it leads.

Monday January 7, 2019

2018 for me was a year of the flu, colds, aching knees and a very sore hip.  I was continually asking myself why I couldn’t cure my symptoms with Reiki … not thinking about what was the cause or  what has Reiki been trying to teach me?

In December it was suggested to me by my wonderful Reiki Master Karen Armstrong, that I needed to set boundaries for myself.  Once I do, I should heal.  I hadn't worked on boundaries for quite a while.
What are my boundaries?   I know when I am experiencing and practicing Reiki which is what I love then the boundaries are set and the healing happens.

2019 …  My path is leading to so many exciting places this year with the potential of great growth and understanding.  I know I just need to allow the universe to lead me and work and acknowledge where I want my boundaries to be.

When you are comfortable on your path, it doesn’t matter where it leads.

January I am working on boundaries.

What are your boundaries?  Have you questioned or thought about them in awhile?

NOW is the Whole Enchilada

Thursday November 1st

Make up your mind that nothing is more important than how I feel now, because now is everything.  Now is the whole enchilada.  Now is the power of me.   Now, now, now, now, now…  You might as well start somewhere, and it might as well be now.

Yesterday I spent the day with good friends at the Johnson Cranberry Farm.  To be spending a grey November day outdoors with good friends and staying in the NOW is the whole enchilada.

Gorillia Fists: Tapping the Chest

Monday October 8, 2018

October is a time for changing and releasing.  The trees are turning from their vibrant green to  all their beautiful reds, orange and gold.  The country is awake with colour and following thanksgiving the trees will shed their leaves in preparation for the long cold winter.  As my little Granddaughters say it is Thanksgiving Party in the forest.

This weekend I was working on my Bones For Life presentation of Process No. 8 and part of the process made me think about bringing vitality into our bodies and shedding old emotions and feelings.  The process is Gorilla Fists: Tapping the Chest.  Give it a try to your morning ritual and see how vibrant you feel after.

Gorillia Fists:  Tapping the Chest

Using just 20% of your capacity pound your fists on our chest in a rhythmical pace, alternating one first after the other.  Let your fingers not be tight.  Make a long sound and allow the pounding to fragment it.  Explore different places on your chest: symmetrically or two hands on one side or another, high near the clavicles or lower.  Stop for a moment and sense how the whole body feels.  Let go and enjoy the result.

Grow through what you go through.

Now that the summer has come and gone I am reflecting on my experiences and what I have learned.  This summer was a summer of sharing all aspect of Reiki with new and experienced clients and students.  Each session and class enriched my knowledge and understanding of Reiki.  Practicing and utilizing the Reiki Precepts and ideals guided my path smoothly.  What a Gift!
